The New Tampa Choir started out as a Tampa area glee-style, summer camp, singing group. Students from Tampa, New Tampa and Wesley Chapel came for a week-long class to sing together. Everybody had so much fun that we decided to add a choir as a regular music class!

Students have fun learning the fundamentals of music and singing by performing classic and contemporary songs together with other singers of all skill levels, so the group learns from the teacher - and each other, challenging and inspiring all.

The choir is for ages 7–12 and meets every Saturday from 10:00-11:00. Everyone is welcome – NO SINGING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! NO AUDITIONS!

This is a great group activity for anyone who enjoys singing. NO PREREQUISITES! Just sign up and start singing! While private voice lessons are a perfect complement to the New Tampa Choir, they are not required to be a member. We also highly recommend it for those studying other instruments as a fun way to improve pitch and meet other students.

The choir will have opportunities to perform at our regular recitals, as well as special performances in and around our own community. We want to spread the joy of singing everywhere we can!

All students learn to read music. Teacher will devise a customized curriculum for the class which will incorporate the styles of music that will be used at upcoming performances. Students also receive generalized instruction for singing technique and performance.
